hey guys!

how did we get here???

I’ve been privately blogging on and off since I was in high school. but blogging and I have decided to take our relationship to the next level, DOT COM. we’ve moved on from the old school blogspot and made our relationship official. I have to say, it feels good and past due.

Let me tell you how my feelings towards documenting our family changed two and half years ago.  or maybe I should say OVER documenting? hahah. I’ll never forget as I sat in the hospital when Sonny was first born, I took my very first picture of him on SnapChat. I was so in love with the snap. It had all of the newborn, fresh from heaven feels. I was so excited to get home to print and frame it!! When I got home I went to print it and quickly realize the quality was bad, like really bad. I remember having this sick feeling as I realized all of my hospital photos were on my iphone. That’s what got me into photography and having the desire to document in higher quality because after all..

“we take photos as a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone.”

luckily the hospital had a photo service that came and took photos of us before we left the hospital. however, I was 110% not purchasing them for a cool $200 (WOAH) but after I realized all I had were my iphone photos.. we decided to make the purchase, and I’m so happy we did!

and I’m not hating on iphone photos at all. In fact, some of my favorite photos are from my iphone. I’m so much more creative with my iphone when I just snap things quickly vs. feeling the need to have things perfectly composed and posed on my nice camera.

**I’ll share photos from Wells’ hospital experience on a future post and possibly both of their birth stories because birth stories are the best!
